Heritage Day (24 September) is about the things that make South Africa South Africa — language, land, and what's on the braai. Art on Steel's laser-cut steel pieces work as a permanent, weatherproof version of that pride, not a decoration you pack away after the long weekend. Every piece here is cut from mild steel and powder-coated for outdoor weather, backed by a 4.93/5 rating across 1,201 verified customer reviews.
Afrikaans Word Art for the Braai Wall
A lapa or braai wall is built for exactly this kind of piece — powder-coated steel handles outdoor heat and weather without fading, unlike a framed print.
Geloof Hoop Liefde Word Bundle — the words as a set, to hang together as one statement piece rather than scattered separately.
Geloof, Hoop, Liefde, Vrede, and Genade are also available individually if you want to build your own combination or space them across a longer wall.
Big 5 Wall Art for a Proud South African Display
For a lounge, study, or entrance hall, the Big 5 range — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — makes a bold, distinctly South African statement piece.
African Lion Metal Wall Art is a bold piece built to anchor a feature wall.
Rhino, Elephant, Leopard, and Buffalo complete the set, whether you're starting the collection or building it piece by piece.
For the Braai Master
Eet Slaap Jag Steel Art — a lighthearted, unmistakably South African piece for the braai area or man cave.
Made to Order, Not Pre-Cut Stock
Every piece is made to order rather than held as pre-cut inventory, so the finish holds up long after mass-produced imports fade. Standard designs are produced within 2 weeks, and custom or personalised pieces take up to 6 weeks (see the shipping policy). Courier delivery after dispatch takes 1–7 working days depending on your area. Orders over R2,000 ship free within South Africa; orders under that go out for R140 in Gauteng or R160 elsewhere.
Planning for next Heritage Day? Order about four weeks before 24 September to allow for production and delivery.
